The Adab of the Mehfil

آدابِ محفل

Purity

Come with wudu, clean clothes and a clean heart. Fragrance is sunnah.

Silence

Listen to the Qur'an and naat with full attention; set the phone aside.

Durood

Whenever the blessed name ﷺ is mentioned, send durood upon him.

Humility

Sit where there is space. The mehfil belongs to everyone equally.

Sajda for Allah alone

Show respect at the shrine with love and adab; prostration is only for Allah.

Service

Help serve the langar, guide the guests and leave the place cleaner than you found it.
